Toad's parentage is uncertain. On December 25, 1950 in Denver,
CO a small unattractive baby was found in a dumpster behind the
headquarters of the local Nazi party. The child was reluctantly
adopted by Helga and Fritz Toad who worked as assistant janitors
at the party offices. Helga was often heard to say, "We
know he is truly an ugly child but hey, at least he was free."
